requiem

For an Unnamed Plant

I found it to be an average plant
That behaved as aloe does.
It didn't get thirsty too often;
And when there was sun, it grew.

Quite turgid, green, upright:
It looked a proper plant.
Was it happy? Of course!
If not, it would have said.
